If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

 Prompt: If I had to write a poem about my life right now it would be about peace. I say this because so far, my life this year has been going good and very peaceful. I haven't had any problems, and I hope nothing happens this year that's bad. This year I have manages to achieve some of my goals and I hope that I am able to accomplish all my goals to.  Summary: Today in class we took notes on rhetorical statements. Reflection: Today in class I learned about what is needed to make a rhetorical thesis statement.

When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

 Prompt: Some strategies that help me get over my bad moods would be listening to music. Music helps me relax and forget about my struggles that I have in that moment. Another way is to go outside and go on walks. I like listening to the sound of the trees because the help me relax as well. I also like to hang out with friends for when I´m not feeling that good. Hanging out with them makes me happy because i know that they are able to always make me happy and smiling all the time.  Summary: Today in class we worked on a NewsEla assignment about ice.  Reflection: Today in class I learned of a story that talks about the ice. 

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

 Prompt: My personal approach when it comes to creativity is to make your assignment or work you are doing colorful and very interesting. The steps I take when working on a project is that I like to first know what I'm working on so I can understand the topic. Then I come up with ideas on how I will describe the work on paper or a poster. Then I make it look very intriguing and very detailed and colorful. A project that I have created that I was proud of would have been my final for 1st semester in my American Lit class.  Summary: Today in class we worked on a writable assignment and answered the questions that came with it.  Reflection: Today in class I learned about the story called "The mystery of willow creek."

Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word

 Prompt: A vocabulary word that resonates with me would be anecdotes. This word is significant to me because throughout my childhood and teen years I always had the joy to tell short stories to people and make them happy or laugh. When I was a child I would like to tell scary stories to my friends and siblings to see how they react. I got the love for it from my mom since when I was a child she would tell my siblings and me stories to make us fall asleep or just for fun. Summary: Today in class we worked on our new vocabulary words and completed the exercises. Reflection: Today in class I learned the definition of our new vocabulary words.

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself

 Prompt: A time I didn't feel myself would be when I cut people out of my life and became a very boring and bland person. I wasn't feeling okay during that time and I thought it was best to distance myself from the people that I enjoyed to be around. But slowly I started to get my spark back after some time. I became the person I always was which was energetic, happy, fun, funny, and always smiled a lot.  Summary: Today in class we identified the rhetorical devices in the Martin Luther King speech. Reflection: Today in class I learned about the rhetorical devices found in the MLK speech. 

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why

 Prompt: A place I feel the most at peace would be the forest. This place makes me feel at peace because the air of the wood reminds helps me forget about my surroundings and focus on myself. I am able to focus on my thoughts and I'm not stressed because of school. I like the air of nature and love looking at the animals there as well. Sometimes I also sit and just listen to my surroundings like the birds chirping and the sound of the wind hitting the trees.  Summary: Today in class we took notes on the new rhetorical devices and did the exercises.  Reflection: Today in class I learned about new rhetorical devices and their meanings. 

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

 Prompt: A time I had to rely on someone was when I was at my lowest point in my life. I had my best friend by my side everyday and she would always take good care of me even if I never wanted to be somewhere she would make sure I was always there. It made me feel happy and relieved that I knew that I had someone I can depend on when time gets hard.  Summary: Today in class we took notes on the new rhetorical devices. Reflection: Today In class I learned the meaning of the new rhetorical devices that we are learning. 

What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

 Prompt: Some skills that  I have learned in high school are determination, communication, dedication, problem solving, teamwork, etc. These skills will help me because in the future I know that when I put my mind on something I will do anything to get it done as soon as possible. The skills I would say are essential for me would be problem solving, determination, teamwork, dedication, and many more.  Summary: Today in class we took notes on the president's speech and Identified the Rhetorical device in it.  Reflection: Today in class I learned the Rhetorical devices that were in the speech of our president. 

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

 Prompt: A time that I took a hiatus from something important was when I took a break  from playing soccer. The reason I had to leave for a while was because I got my leg injured and I couldn't play until it healed. It made me really sad because I had to see my teammates playing without me and I wished I was there with them. When I healed I was happy and excited to get on the field and win more games.  Summary: Today in class we worked on new rhetorical devices and completed the exercises as well.  Reflection: Today in class I learned the definition of new rhetorical devices.

 Prompt:  Hyperbole - Class today was so good everyone was on task.  Understatement - The class today was really good, but very confusing.  Litote - The lesson was not so bad today.  Summary: Today in class we took notes on the new rhetorical devices we learned and completed the exercises.  Reflection: Today in class we learned about new rhetorical devices.

Prompt: During my holiday break I spent it with my friends and family. We got together and went out to eat as a family or when I went to a party at my friends house during the break.  The first goal that I want to achieve this year is to be more social.   This goal is important to me because it would allow me to be myself with the surrounding people. To accomplish this goal, I will go to more gathering with friends or family, become friends with new people at school, I plan to achieve this goal by December 2026. The second goal I want to accomplish this year is to work out more. This goal is important to me because I want to grow my strength and keep a healthy body. To accomplish my goal, I will go to the gym 3 times a week, stop eating junk food, and go on daily walks or runs. I plan to achieve this goal by June 2026.
