Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

Prompt: When i was a child my mom always told me not to go to my neighbors house. They set that rule because my neighbors house was a very old and creepy house. They had lion statues in the front and you would hear weird sounds coming from the house sometimes. When I was little i was scared of it and would have nightmares about the house eating me. My friends would call me a scary cat because they thought that i was just over dramatic but then we heard a noise come from the house and we all ran away.

Summary: Today in class we read a short story called "The Rockpile."

Reflection:  Today in class i learned what the rockpile symbolized in the story we read.
