The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?

Prompt: A time in life when a piece of information changed my understanding of someone was when people kept telling me that a girl I was friends with was saying very bad stuff about me. When I heard the news I was shocked because I didn't think that the girl was the type to talk bad about someone. After she found out that I knew she tried to apologize to me. When I told her that I couldn't forgive her because what she did was wrong she just stormed away. After that she kept talking about me to people but I ignored her because I knew it wasn't worth my time as I was focused in school.

Summary: Today in class we took a pop quiz on "a rose for Emily."

Reflection: Today in class I learned that I got a 100 on my pop quiz about "a rose for Emily."
